The fog came out of nowhere and she could barely see her hand before her. It was getting harder to breathe, like breathing through barbed wire fence. She had been running for a long time now, running for her life, and she couldnt stop until she knew she was safe. The steps behind seemed to walk quite slow, but yet she felt the person moved closer and closer as she ran. The forest didnt seem to lead out somewhere, but she had to find either a hiding place or figure out something else. Why did she even come out here? In this godforsaken place, where most likely, no one would hear her. Didnt she already pass that huge tree? Oh no, she had been running in circles, and it appeared the person chasing her knew the forest alot better.
It was something with that huge tree; it grew daffodils next to it. Daffodils? How could it be growing daffodils where the sun never seemed to shine? No, it was something with the whole forest, and that person knew it. Judging by the steps, it was a male person, in alot better shape than herself. She was slowing down; she couldnt keep the same speed as she had before, and she had to find a way to escape him. Just one opening, just one, please, she begged inside of her while pushing her limit of running.
Suddenly, she didnt her the mans steps. Did he stop? Had she outrunned him? She looked over her shoulder, scared but with calmness. No one was there. She stopped, and breathed heavily. Now she had used up all of her energy, and she began to feel dizzy. She looked around; the only company was the massive fog and the tall massive trees surrounding her. Her legs started to shake, and she nailed to the ground. Cant
Run
More
She began to cough, it was freezing, and she only had a shirt and jeans on. Her sneakers were brand new, but after running in wet mud, they sure didnt look new.
Both of her legs felt like they were burning, and her ribs was soon to burst through. She could only hear herself breathing, and she was struggling to keep herself awake. She crawled to the closest tree, and placed herself there. The man wasnt to be seen nowhere. She started to shake; she didnt realize she was cold before she stopped running. The whole forest seemed to move closer, and the fog didnt seem to clear at all. Better be at one place, rather than get more lost than I already am, she thought while reaching for her right pocket. Fuck, she had managed to loose her cell phone. No chances for calling help, great.
Where the hell was she anyway? She didnt recall a big forest last time she was here. What was that? She turned her head fast to the left. She could have sworn it was someone there, looking at her. She got up on her feet, leaning towards the tree. She had to have one hand at the tree; she could still feel the dizziness rushing inside her head. She heard a crack in some branches, and got startled. It almost sounded like it was right behind her, but she couldnt dare turn to see. She closed her eyes while holding her breath; she couldnt afford to be chased more. Suddenly, she heard some sort of whistling. She wrinkled her eyebrows, whistling?
She opened her eyes abit, and was soon to see the male figure close up before her. She tried to turn around, but he grabbed her shoulders so hard that she had to turn back again. She look at him terrified, he was smiling while holding her. In one desperate last try to run, she tried to bite his left hand, but he placed his hand under her chin instead, making her force to see in his eyes. Judging by his strength to keep her to the tree, he was quite muscular, and yet, he managed to smile at her. While staring at each other, she recognized him. She could never forget that silver like hair, or that quite nasty scar crossing his right eye, she was the one giving it to him. You
!
She tried to hold back her tears, but he yet still to smile. Here I was going to take a trip to my old city, and guess who I finally meet again? He took her closer to his face and smirked, then said; My wonderful girlfriend, who betrayed me. It was obvious he had been searching for her, she hadnt been careful enough. His eyes turned black and he tightened his grip on her shoulder. The guards couldnt hold me back, darling; they never stood a chance against me. They tried their foolish guns, but I took them out, one by one. Just for you. She was about to throw up, she knew about the massacre in her old military unit, that had happened when she travelled back to the city, to live a quiet life. 50 of her comrades had been killed brutally, and there was no evidence to trace the killer.
She knew it was all her fault; she had to infiltrate in his group to kill both him and his commanding officer, and even though the circumstances, they managed to fall in love with each other. She loved him, and he loved her, but she had to follow through her mission. She assassinated his commanding officer, and was going to give him the same destiny, but she couldnt. She loved him too much, which lead to the nasty scar over his eye. She disappeared after that, and left the unit. She moved to the city with a hope for a new life, but after getting a note saying that half of her unit had been killed viciously, she knew it was him. Its a shame, darling, he said and took out a knife big as his fist and placed it on the side of her neck, and a big smile, but now, your journey ends.
They found her the next morning, lying on a bed of daffodils with a note next to her saying;
The best of us can find happiness in misery.

OKAY!
....HUH!?!
....no, I mean why would she cut him? Did she cut him before she decided not to kill him? Because if she didn't want to kill him in the first place, what was the whole point of giving him a random cut on his face?
(more critiqeing.....I always edit a lot of people's writing, so don't take it personally....
Thats why it only became a cut
